Does anybody know RELIABLE long-term weather forcast site on the Net?

Sorry, I don't know in which section to put this question, so I'm just posting it in the most visited one - and I guess, weather is a big issue for all of us...I used weather.com for a long time - but lately their forcasts became totally wrong...Does anybody know RELIABLE site to get the weather, even if it's by paid subscribtion? Also - where can I get long-term weather forcasts for a region or country in advance? Thanks!

whether or not their weather's there

    For Canadian destinations, use www.weathernetwork.ca

Just type in the city/province and ta dahh, lots of usefull data like temps, precip, wind, UV levels, pollen counts, smog - even traffic and construction for large municipal centres.

Their long range forecasts are as reliable or un as any.

      Weather, shmether

      Irina --

You are in New Orleans, for goodness sakes...there is no such thing as a reliable long-term weather forecast other than, here at the beginning of summer, "it will be hot and humid punctuated by periods of hurricane!" Those are at least three of the reasons I try to escape to Northern climes for the season.

I rely on weather.com, but carry an umbrella even on clear days. If the forecast says the expectation of rain is any more that 10% I carry a towel and a change of clothes. If it says 50% chance of rain I don't bother going out -- in their own strange statistical universe 50% means assured rain!

I also keep "weatherbug" in my "system tray." (I just tried to find a URL, but it is a "pop-up" and I don't know where to look. It is probably weatherbug.com). This gives me a current temp. reading at the bottom of my screen and it cricket-chirps at me when there is an active weather alert.

The ski resort I used to work at in NY state paid thousands of dollars a year for a site-specific weather forecast that, as far as I could see, was no more accurate than the local doppler radar geeks at the TV station. Indeed, your friendly local Voodoo Priestess may have better advice for you!

Stay dry & don't let the tornadic winds ruffle your hair!

        Long term weather

they boast an 80% accuracy. They base things on the past years of keeping weather patterns and can predict the weather from 6 months up to a year ahead in some circumstances. I have used it before it became a pay service and found them useful and reliable...scarily so.

use this information as you will, believe it if you want.

I checked it out - it looks great. It's a paid service - 40$ a year, but if it works, it will pay for itself...I loose a lot of money by going to festivals and being rained out...

And I don't stay in NOLA in summer - it is way too hot.
