Initially I wanted to call this text "Crónicas Murcianas" but decided to drop the wordgaming. Anyway, spent a few days in Murcia-city which is 273 km east of Granada. First stop of the tour. Not much to say about it really. Old buildings, pedestrian areas all over the centre of the town, lots of students, very little tourism (might be early in the season still), a reasonable active nightlife and good food for not too much money. The street community consisted of a punky balloon clown, one silver statue that moves and sometimes talks and smokes, several panhandlers and approximately 24.3429871102 eastern-european musicians most of whom play the accordeon. Do weekdays only if you´re into taking risks; weekends should be good money-wise. Oh yes, before I forget: the local police several times during my shows came past, saw and kept walking. So there.
