TODAY! rally for alternative performance spaces in Boston

Read about this over coffee this morning...
Not really for buskers, but it's all part of a trend. So if you are in the area, you might consider coming out to support alternate performing arts spaces.

Boston Globe/March 4th for the arts

See you out there... and bring an umbrella.

    Organizing for the arts

As the office manager for Key West's "Sunset Celebration" once said to me in a letter, "There is a certain difficulty in attempting to organize a group of anarchists!"

What are 'alternative" pitches in Boston? I would love to work there, but they don't allow face-painting in Fanuel Hall and in Cambridge. Is it possible to work in Boston Common near the boats? Any 'crashable" festivals in Boston? I may go for the Caribbean Carnival there.
