    Seattle, WA

LICENSE: I don't think you need a license from the city to perform in public areas.

THE STAMPS: We only stayed for about a week and we never really made as much $$$ as we would have made in San Francisco. Maybe we were just using the wrong technique.

Same sized crowds though. Since we went during the Kamakaze bombings, I don't have a clear picture of what the norm is for performing there in September.

    +Pike's Place Market:
You can perform there but, you need a license. I believe the license price is $10. I have a big circle show of at least 100 people and the guy wouldn't give me a licence because the place wasn't big enough. -There is a magic shop at this market-

    +WaterFront Park:
I don't know about this location but it was recommended by the guy at PPM and by a guy I saw emptying trashcans in the city.

    +West Lake Plaza:
This is like a paved park near a shopping area around 5th and Pike. My pal did a couple of shows here and made the best hats of our short visit. A lot of punk kids hang out there and don't do anything but biochemistry. A lot of locals on their ways places.

    +Space Needle - Seattle Center:
There is a park set up with affixed temporary carnival type rides. One walk way near the ferris wheel is a good place to go. To find it, look for the Space Needle. Mostly tourists.

LODGING: There are two hostels -- The HI and the Green Tortise hotel. We got kicked out and stayed at the St. Regis on 2nd Street. It was $70 a night. The guy at the desk told us that no one had been thrown out a windo since April.
