what's the deal with the Kingston Buskers Festival this year? was it good, bad, indifferent?

was there any problems with structure or how it was run? were the crowds mediocre?

I have had 4 random people this week talk to me after my show here in San Francisco, telling me about the festival, they said they were disappointed in the quality of what they saw. (some of them used other words though)

any feedback from the performers side?

it was hot this year, and that was a struggle. I thought the acts were pretty decent though, I don't see a quality issue on that end... It's one of the few bigish festivals that will take newer acts, which is nice.
They do put you up head to head against other performers on the same street, so you better be ready to compete. Last year it didn't really seem to be a huge problem, but this year it was so hot that the turnout was a little low to support multiple shows running at the same time. On the last day of the festival it became a lot more like real street performing than festival performing.

I got stated with a bunch of really unfortunate time slots, and the heat really was kinda brutal, so I didn't do nearly as well as I thought I might.... but I enjoyed my time there.
