    Changes to Edmonton Fringe

Just a general warning for anyone thinking about hitting the edmonton fringe this year. I've heard all sorts of things about the program getting changed and possibly only limited to one busking spot. No official word from the festival yet on what is actually happening but you may want to be careful about attending until they actually announce the changes.

Yup, spoke with the "vendor manager" who was extremely rude. She wants $1200 for a vendor pass. Let me get this straight......it's a busker festival and the balloon man is a vendor?? Yes, your puppy will be $20 please!! Over the past decade (yes, this would have been my 11th fringe) my passes for the year have gone from $80 to $100 to $180 to $250 to $1200 overnight. For the second largest fringe in the world, maybe they need to re-vamp things somewhat!! Needless to say, I won't be there this year and the vendor manager said they weren't even going to have a balloon person this year. Maybe i will get permission from a local business to set up in front of their store....
