Just finished Coffs and thought I would give my impressions.
The festival it self was just fine, I didnt really get the luck of the draw as far as times on the pitches but thats the way it goes. (untill the last day in Sawtell which was a record hat)
It seems that they could make it a 3 or 4 day event and pull in bigger crowds giving it more of a festival energy. As it is, it feels more like busking is legal in the city center for a week than a festival.
The talent was great! A rocking line up, including Mario (I owe you 50 bucks!), the Motely Two, Arizona Jones, Jimarjobat(?), Great Scott and some others. (sorry not a good memory)
I personaly think that the main producer could use some lessons in organization. (I won't air my laundry here but if you travel half way around the world to do this fest get everything in writing!)
But the City Councel behind the event is SUPER! Very nice people.
I have never felt so welcome in all of my life.
All in all Swallow Boy had a good time and would return.
