    Hey Nick,

The elefunTitans had a great time in Ottawa just before we picked up this scraggly Limey at the Taste of Chicago and then couldn't get rid of him across the rest of the Canada tour.

Of course that was absolutely YEARS ago so I couldn't really tell you what it's like these days.

I was there in 2002 during the fringe... the market was workable, though there are a couple of scheduled fringe shows there around 6pm...

      My emails go unanswered too...

Ottawa Street fest is great. If you decide to perform at the fringe, what you do is just show up and perform. There's one good pitch to work in the market. And though it's great for flow it's cramped for space. And if you go don't pay. When I was last there we payed out hundred bucks and performed in a line up with 5 or so other performers who didn't pay anything. The pitch is unaltered by the fact that it's part of a festival.

About the street fest. I've performed there the last two years. It's great audience wise.

If you're there on Canada Day (if you're in Canada and not booked Canada 1st, you should be there. It's huge) drop by the office the day after and talk with them. I've gotten into the fest a month before it started both years I performed there.

        All the best!

... right before Canada 2nd and just after Canada 0th (pronoucned "zear" "oath")

What I actually meant was if you're in Canada July 1st ("Canada Day") Ottawa really rocks the party. It's unbelievable.

            Thanks Dean

            Love DynaMike

              Hey Nick,

The Busker Festival is run by city workers who may volunteer. No real producer or experience in this area. Performers crash, scheduling is questionable and unfair, very small travel and per diem. It would be a last resort. I am sure you would rock at the market pitch, it is primarily an evening thing, but usually there is a line-up!

Not sure about bagels, but they have beaver tails, which is basically a donut in the shape of a beaver's tail with stuff on top...Canadians like beavers...It's a national symbol.

I know in the last few years, the market was having issues with regards to amplification. No vocal amplification allowed. You don't want to ruin your throat, Ozzy.

It can be a great town....

The band and I formed there many years ago...
