Yea, I am talking the northern hemisphere.

The reason I asked the question is because I was thinking about entering a contest a guy from the Magic Cafe posted. Whoever bust in the coldest weather will get a prize. I was wondering if I would have a lot of composition if I enter.

        brrr!

Comedien/juggler Sean Morey did some busking next to HUGE piles of snow at Dock Square in Boston after the Blizzard of '78; that was February, so it must have been kinda cold.
Busking happens all winter in Cambridge and Boston in the subway, but even there it can be too cold, and not particularly lucrative.

You'll have to wrestle Aerial Angels for it - we did a show in January in Stratford, Ontario, wearing spandex. I did a barefoot victory lap in the snow before each show.

Oh, and Anchorage, Alaska at New Year's. Nothing's more fun than taping heat packs to your body before a show!

Wow, Kevin and Isabella, I do not think I can survive like that.

I used to busk all through winter down at Yonge and Dundas in Toronto when I was super broke...statuing. Talk about cold!!

...I say "used to" but am fully aware of the potential for that to happen again, given the current economic climate.

I did first night in Spark avenue mall in Ottawa years ago. Was so cold the only thing I could do was fire. 3 sets of long johns and a fire barrel beside me so I could warm up every 10 mins. Made the papers, and the news that night. Also done the Christmas markets in Germany only -20c though. Also clowning shows in Germany in a snow storm. All good fun! Good luck my friend.

We're originally based out of Windsor and Toronto (Canada). And we go year round... Santa Claus Parades, Winter Festivals, Etc. We're on our stilts in all kinds of weather (as long as the ground has good traction). We don't do circle shows as much in the winter though...

If you're going for it, dress in as many layers as you can. Could make a great bit out of it, actually: "Winter wear strip tease" or wear enough layers that you look like the Michelin Man!
