    Energy and so

I have mostly done shows that are around 15 min to 30 min. The shorter ones, tend to have a lot more high energy than the long ones. Its more intense i suppose.

Slowly the shows are getting longer, but i find that it dont work to have the same high intensity the whole time. It would be good to know how to set the pace in each show. Where to put the intensity, and where to have calm parts.

I have also found whenever i use a mic, i dont have the same energy as without. As a result, the hat goes down.

    Any advice?

If you're trying just to make the most money, I think the medium energy shows are usually the ones that make the most.

The shows that are the most interesting are the ones with varying levels.

turn your mic volume down until you learn to give energy without shouting.

I used to have the same problem with the mic. Do what scot says, and double check with people to make sure they can hear you.

I like to start really, really slow, then gradually bring the show to a screeching halt. Then, maintain.

Well, Taxi, it definitely picks up a little steam when you hand a sharp needle to the child. Not that that is really stomping on the gas pedal--more like letting up on the brake for just a bit.

Is it possible to try that at home, or do you need an audience to learn to know how to controll the energy? Since im not really close to a pitch that allows mics at the moment.

So, if you want a show thats gives good money, should i keep the energy in the show medium at all times?

Or start with low energy and then raise the level as it gets closer to the finalie..?

Start on their level, bring it up. Peak at finale. Different things are going to work for different people, but I'd say you need to do something cool in the beginning, and something cooler at the end. Action should build. Jokes that require established character should be later in the show. People will walk if they think the show has peaked, always make it clear that something better is about to happen.

I would say you need an audience to really learn energy control on the street. I might be wrong. Be prepared to fail for a long time.
