    Starting out street performing

So since a little kid (well im 13 so im not much of an adult) I've like to entertain people. Now im thinking of starting street performing but im not sure were to start. I know a few stuff like: playing saxophone, magic, breakdance, yoyo, parkour, skate and maybe something else. Any tips, ideas, info and help would be great.

They care more about you than what you do so have fun and SMILE

First thing ... put together 6 minutes ... try to use all the stuff you can do:
playing saxophone, magic, breakdance, yoyo, parkour, skate and maybe something else
come up with a beginning .... and an ending ... both need to be strong ... put anything weak in the middle.

try to get a laugh within the 1st 6 seconds

it will all change once you perform in front of people so think on your feet while out there

after you get the 6 minutes ... then do 10 ... then 20 ... then 45... then one hour ... then a second hour different from the 1st ... then back to 6 minutes for TV ... that should keep you busy when you aren't parkouring.

Never ever touch a thing called a "unicycle".

Stab someone on your first day. That will give you some street credit, and none of the local gangs will give you much trouble.

        (don't actually do that)

To add just a bit to what Karl said:

          >Never ever touch a thing called a "unicycle"...

and spill lighter fluid on the ground...
and juggle torches while on said "unicycle"...
and drop one in the lighter fluid that, via gravity has made its' way into the audience...

          bad things will happen.

also, don't do it with a flaming yo-yo either.

P.S. Don't rule out the stabbing part ...just yet.

              oooo Loook!

              Taxi has 1111 posts!
              make a wish

              back on topic.
wear sunscreen, but sunglasses can disconnect you from the audience unless it's a specific character choice.
              drink lots of water.
              don't smoke crack.
be appropriate to your character. Gazzo told me that "his" book of aggressive lines can work for anyone, and I don't agree.
You will go farther if you can write your own material rather than using or slightly modifying stock lines.
              Pay attention to everything....

                The Outcome

In the end a good show is always about the person doing the things not the things the person is doing.

Well said, Jesus... or to put it more succinctly, ""It's not about the juggle... it's about the juggler."

Of course, that doesn’t include dog acts…

as M.Jagger sang, Īt's the singer, not the song." not sure who wrote it....

Listen and watch your audience; when they laugh, remember what you said or did, and use it again (and again).

Make sure you really love whatevere it is you are doing, because if you are successful you will be doing it thousands of times.

                    and try to have fun

                    Ciao -Kev
