    Two diabolos

I've heard about people doing two diabolos. Tell me, if you can...how exactly is this done? Are they juggled? They can't be on the string at one time, that much seems clear to me. Or can they? I'm pretty good with one diabolo, but it's the two at once that is the mystery on the horizon.

Some wise person once said, "Don't ask for a secret, ask for a teacher." Or something to that effect. An answer would be nice, but if anyone could point me to an information source, that would be immensely appreciated as well.

they go in a circle. Your best bet is to go to some juggling festivals. The IJA fest allways has a bunch of two diabolo jugglers. The best fest to go to is the eropean one. There are even people doing three out there.

This is how i learned two; get the first one running quite fast. then pick up the second diabolo, (transfer both sticks to your left/right?? hand) and thow diabolo about 3 feet in the air(with spin of course!. as you catch the second diabolo this will naturally start the circular movement - all you need to do is keep them both under control, and keep pushing them around.
note: when running with 2 diabolos - they rotate in the same direction as your one diabolo tricks move. ie round arm/leg etc...

          Sound easy?

          Trust me its not!!

it took me a couple of weeks to even get them both on the string. and another couple of months to be able to keep it running!!!

Dont be discouraged though - I had many diaboloists tell me that learning the shuffle will most likely be your hardest trick youll learn with 2 diabolos! (with a few exceptions!!)

Also, if you happen to be in the fortunate position of having a diabolo slave on hand - get them to toss in the second diabolo to you - it will make things a lot easier.

          Hope that helps.

You also have to learn to be able to put a lot of spin on the single diablo , either whip or chinese whip , This makes it easier because for a long time you will be dropping a lot . With 2 diabolos , all the action is in the first few seconds . When you are in its easy .

My friend thats trying to learn two diablos can get it started with the help of me throwing in the air for him but then he cant keep it going for very long because one side of the string gets shorter and shorter and the other gets longer and longer and then the diablos run into eachother after about 5/10 rotations

Don't rush it. Allow the diablos to travel most of the length of the string. Pump with the right hand, but remember to keep the arm action parallel to the shoulder plane. The right hand should push the diablo down and to the center. Give a very slight, but guiding flip with the left as the diablo comes to the top. Check online for hundreds of diablo video clips.

One of the most important things for me in diablo is the hand toss. Not only is it good for two it is also good to learn for one diablo also. It is a quick way to get the diablo going after a drop. I hold the diablo by the cup that is closest to my body. Your hand is the same as if you were gripping a basketball. A good flick of the wrist towards yourself and BOOOYAA you got it going. In my opinion it is a very good and flashy way to get it going and perfect for two. With two just be sure to use all of the string. Corrections will come in time and practice.

                      Bogle,

You may want to look for the videos Diabolo Folies and Diabolo FoliesII.
                      I found them very helpful.
