    Busking Contracts???

I was reading my mail from the balloon twisters list and ran across this post
    "Hi All !!
I would like to see a few of your contracts you use when busking in
restaurants. I have been using one I created several years ago and I
believe it's outdated. So if you have one would you share please?
    Thanks"

Don't know about any of you but I have never heard of a contract to busk anyplace. A permit maybe, but a contract? Never.

It all depends on who is paying . If the boss of the restaurant pays , then you or the person may need a contract but its not busking . If the people on the tables are paying , then you are busking and the restaurant owner has no rights demanding a contract , miserable capitalists that they are .

If the restaurant is private property, you would need permission which is best done in writing, to keep everything clear. Since the owner isn't paying you, I would think the most important thing for you would be to make sure that you are covered by their liability insurance, just in case something goes wrong.

Remember, a contract doesn't have to be complicated; it just needs to outline your agreement. More important than being legally binding, (which is less important since there is no money changing hands) it is a chance for the two of you to clearly state the nature of your agreement.

      Best of luck
