    The Pass

I'm working with a few card tricks, which I'm enjoying, but for the pass. If there are any street magicians out there who can give me tips for makiing it more smooth and less like a cut, it would be really appreciated.

When i do it i tend to do it in the process of placing the top half of the deck back.

Do it two-hundred thousand more times.

WHAT?! You're not doing it now?

In regards to the pass my advice to you is dont do it. Its a trick that takes LOTS and LOTS of practice and in the end isnt that spectacular. There are many ways around using it, but if you absolutely have to do it hide it with a much larger action such as turning around to face the other half of the crowd.

P.S. If you are having trouble working out ways to get out of doing the pass tell me and i will try to help you figure something out.

          Video: Pass With Care

I'm not sure what trick you're doing that you think you need to pass, but IF you do, I strongly suggest this video.

Haha, it's been a while and my hands are still so clumsy. Essentially, having started as a juggler, I'm just trying to compile flourishes for cards. The first time I'd seen the pass was an excellent and very smooth rendition done right in front of the spectator. I've always wanted to be able to replicate that and work it in with flourishes. More a hobbiest's curiosity, but thank you for all the responses.

              Helllo ,
I do the pass all the time, it's a must as a foundation move, practice SLOWLY in front of a mirror, it should be invisable! research the turnover pass, riffle pass and table pass practice them all a few thousand times and do the pass even when you don't need to. People should be able to burn your hands and not see a thing,,
when you've learnt that learn the top change, palm(top , bottom and one handed) also the double lift. put these with a couple of false shuffles and cuts and you'll have a load of effects you can do off the cuff. You'll find thats all you'll need.
