How do you do perform at a festival?

Next week, I'll be perfomring at Kerns Road Park party, pretty much a park party for the neighborhood. Except, I don't know what to do. At these occasions, would it be best to walk around and hand out balloon animals to kids, or stand there and do a show as people stop, watch and go?

I'll be juggling, doing balloon sculptures and devil sticking.

Tips? Also, what should I wear? I don't have a clown costume, and nor do I intend on getting one for the sole purpose of this festival. I need something to distinguish myself from everyone else, look professional/fun, yet it shouldn't be too hot..

If it is a freebie, I suggest that your costume have your name and web site or phone number visable.

Dress for your comfort and their eye apeal. You don't have a boring show, so why dress boring? Spice it up abit.

I NEVER do free shows with balloons. I use these events to practice my improve skills.

In the end, do what makes you happy, and the next time some one asks you to volunteer, you will have happy memories instead of nightmares.

      Good luck!

I do balloons at free events but only as practice. do them last as once you start it is hard to stop. I can now do about 200 difrent balloon things, and will do a freebee to practice. (I do this in the park for tips also) It beats filling my house withs balloons.

If the event has asked for you to be ther and asked for balloons, have them pay for the balloons, why should you pay for them? after all your the one doing the work!

And rember try to limit the amount of free work you do as free work will get you more free work
