I was thinkin u could do some magic? maybe the "giant three card monte" (finding the queen like in the book) or maybe pullin somthing out of a "mad hatters" hat,e.g,props. sorry i havnt got any ideas on the juggling.
If you want any details on the tricks email me.

A little background on your character-
      from the annotated alice

"There is good reason to believe that Carrol intended for the Mad Hatter to resemble one Theophilus Carter, a furniture dealer near Oxford. Carter was known in the area as the Mad Hatter partly because he wore a top hat and partly because of his eccentric ideas. His invention of an "alarm clock bed" that woke the sleeper by tossing him out on the floor may help explain why the Hatter is so concerned with time as well as with arrousing the sleepy doormouse. One notes also that items of furniture are prominent in this episode."

another theory suggests that he is based on a mad professor type. he likes asking riddles with no answers, though they may not be funny in a street show. He is obsessed with time whom he treats as if it were a person. I am unable to come up with really good ideas without knowing what your show is based on but if you reply here or email me I can help you out. I love alice in wonderland and through the looking glass. I was thinking of doing a show based on it. particularly on the white rabbit.

"why is a raven like a writing desk?"

proposed answers by smart old british guys-
because the notes for which they are noted are not musical notes(or) all very flat. Poe wrote on both, bills and legs are among their characteristics, because they both stand on their legs, conceal their steels (steals), and out to be made to shut up.

      sorry. I'll go now.
