STILTS!

I'm lookin to get into the stilt thing. I saw some vids of "Lurk" on his website and really didn't know you could be so agile in them. I think I really could take advantage of being 9 10 feet tall. So heres my question.

Where do I buy or how do I make a pair of hi quality stilts? and do any of you have any tips and tricks on using them???

Hi there!

I looked at the link to the links page and found two different approaches for building stilts.

On the one hand

On these stilts your foot is exact on the center of the pole to the ground. Then there is another pole screwed to the first one for attaching your calf

and on the other hand

On these stilts there is one long pole up to your calf and you stand a little bit to the side. This is the approach i've seen most on custom stilts.

I'm not quite sure what the goods and bads about these two approaches are. I tend to build the second one cause most stilt walker seem to have these kind of stilts. But i tend to think that the first method could be better cause you stay exactly like on the floor and not aside

Would be nice if some of you could say what they prefer and why!
