touring for the first time
Hiya all, My name is Derek and I am a street performer/circus performer from New Zealand. My partner and I are planning a tour to Canada this next year and we would like some pointers on what the going rates in North America are so that we dont embarrass ourselves or undercut others, we are also curious to know about how we actually work in foreign countries - ie visas ( do we get special permits because we are performers or do the festivals take care of this for us and if they do do we have to get every festival to do this or is just one enough ).
Do we need to have a type of insurance to perform at Canadian or American buskers festivals and if so where is a good place to get it from and do we need to get it in our country of origon.
This shit is hard to plan if you dont know the answers and I would really appreciate any replies that can shed wisdom on this.
