Knive Juggling Rutine

I'm trying to figure out how I can include an audience member in a knive juggling rutine. Any Ideas?

It's can be risky

First, you have to be damn good with those knives.
I used to do a routine based on the old club passing cigarette knock out.
Basically I juggled the knives and cut the cigarette from a voluteers mouth.
There was a whole set up to it with a lot of comedy. It went down well with the crowd.
I also used to have an audience member throw in a fourth knife also.
Of course, there is the old walk of death. Never done it myself, but many people have with varying success.

I don't think that the knives would be sharp enough to cut a cigarette as they are dube knives but how does the walk thing work as a finale? What do you do for that?

well, most of the time i just knocked the cigarette out of the mouth, but occasionaly it would break.
If you haven't seen the 'walk of death' routine before, then I'm not sure that I want to be the one to describe it to you.
I'd hate to be the one to prolong the life of it.

New thought. I don't think that any one would want to lie down, for the "Walk of Death" out doors during a street show which is how I primarily perform. Also I don't smoke and am not comforatable putting a cigarette in some one elses mouth for the other routine. Any other ideas?

balloons? substitute a balloon, a straw, hot dog, - with or without mustard, for the cig?

Great Idea! What about a bannanna or somthing? That could be really funny and it would be soft enough that the dube knives would actualy cut through it. Thanks alot Streatch!
