busking in the south of spain can be a bit wierd, you will surely after a few days in any town be hassled by the police. You can go to the town hall and buy a permit, the most expensive is Seville which is at present 22€50 per square metre !!! per Day !!!
tell them you are a street artist and you move your pitch and you will get a deal, I got 10 days anywhere I liked with the promis to move on every half hour for 20€, the moment you get a permit you dont see a single cop until the 11th day then you see them all!!
Benidorm, the last time I was there I paid loads for a 3 day permit, on my 1st terrace a couple of cops asked for my permit, which i showed them. One said "you have a permit?"
    "yes" I replied,
he tore it up and told me I didnt have a permit and it would be a good idea if I pissed off!
This could have happen anywhere, so I always carry a fotocopy of my permits so they dont get lost or covered in beer/whiskey/mayonaise
