    Fire-eating

Fire-eating is a beautful and dangerous art. Be assured you will be burned during your career. I started on the pro circuit in 1949, doing 10 to 16 shows a day... Good fire-eaters use more than one fuel often in the same show. Some "tricks" depend on more volatility(or less) venue, indoors, outdoors, location, and other conditions. All the fuels we use are carcinogenic, and I have had cancer three times. Chemical pneumonia at least once, and too many minor burns to count. I have had three very serious burns, but I've been lucky! As far as I know, I'm the only fire eater in the business who does part of his act without torches. There are six basic moves to learn. Only a hands-on teacher can see errors in process, something a book cannot do.

        Thanks so much.
...I've gotten more help here than I could have hoped for.
I'll update my progress in regards to extinguishing fires with my face. hee hee.
(Got told recently that I have to work evenings and weekends at my job, so it may be a little while before I get some serious time.)
