Which headsets do you use with your amps?

    Hey guys!

Which haedsetīs do you use fpor your streetshows, and how you combine them with your amps!

Iīm not sure if the voice played on the crate amp is bad, cause it is not a voice speaker itīs a (guitar amp).

How much you have paid for your system?

Nice greetings from Vienna, - rock the globe!!!

I use samson airline aerobic, works great, but making really fast pirouettes while juggling is dangerous. It might fly.
As long as you dont make pirouettes or somersaults it is FINE

      lav

If you are doing so many quick piroettes, why not use a lav mic, there are a lot of good ones on the market. I use a sennheiser and works awesome, it even blocks the wind being under my shirt...also it helps with your show if you are a character driven show, people can not see your mic and it will add to your overall appearance...if you want to look like Britney Spears or Madonna then go ahead and still wear a headset.

          head sets

I use a lav now...but yes I have used a headset in the past and will probably again in the future. I do not really have anything against them...especially the countryman (one of the most beautiful mics ever)

My statement was more towards if you are doing so many pir. and losing the headset...switch to something else.
I tried to make a funny in there too...but you see where that ended up. )

Sennheiser hands down make the best headset mic available, and they make a battery powered reciever.

I don't recommend running them that way, personally. I've done that mod to two different amps, and they both developed battery problems that I've never seen unmodified amps have.

You can always run your mic off of a seperate 12v battery until you finally bow to the superiority of the almighty sennheiser.

                    Sennheiser

I agree with the good doctor, running off the crate battery is not a good idea...you can get a liquid/gel cell (green fluid inside) battery from Radioshack that can be recharged and is lighter and works better than the other rechargable alarm battery that they sell.

The Sennheiser system is hands down the best...ew100 g2 battery powered transmitter and receiver...on aa batteries. You can get headset or two types of Lav...the me-4 is a nice lav that cuts wind down pretty well.
Otherwise as stated earlier you can get a countryman headset and they will make it to fit your receiver.

Senheiser also has a kickin warranty...my system just broke a bit after a year and close to 300 shows with it and they said it is under warranty for two years and I filed a claim and sent it in for repair/replacement. I will keep you updated to how fast it returns now.

how does that radio shack thing work... does it just have an outlet on it to plug stuff in or do I have to do some modifying to that.

hey guys after looking at prices for the sennheiser stuff I think I am going to stick with my akg headset- although I did find out that they make a battery powered reciever. It's a pretty good headset and you can get it for under 230 if you look in the right places. Also AKG just came out with a new line of wireless stuff that's a little bit better so the headset I have should be dropping prices drastically if anyone is interested in getting. The best site I've been on to get anything audio has been www.djmart.com and they have live negotiations online so you can get there price down at least 50 dollars to what it is listed if not even more.

that radio shack thing is just a battery. It has a positive and a negative terminal which you would then attach a cable to that has a connection that fits the power supply input on your reciever. Take the reciever with you to radio shack and they should help you out.

And you'll also have to buy a charger for the battery.

hey- I just got all the stuff to power it the battery and all those stupid adapters to get it to convert to my reciever thing. but for some unknown reason to me RADIOSHACK does not carry the charger for the damn battery. anyone have any ideas. o - and the battery was like 50% off at radio shack. so if anyone needs one - now is the time.
