      Crate is great!

I love my Limo. It's portable, durable, versatile, loyal and it just plain rocks! Liberty also makes good amps with built-in CD players, but I'll stick with my Limo.

Went from the Amp Can to the Limo,,,
Now back to theAmp Can much more portable and less can go wrong,,,
Bit tinny if you use music though..

            taxi 30

I use a taxi 30 and it is powerful enough for most gigs that are street style. If you need more power for larger audiences I usually have the producer of the event provide sufficient sound.

The crate taxi 30 was my choice as it is a bit smaller than the limo and lighter at 17 pounds.

Before that I had an amp can and thought that worked pretty well too.

I am using a Taxi Crate and like it very much, never worked with a amp can tough.
Today I was in a shop, but hadnt much time, I saw a radio there that craft workers (who make streets and buildings) use. It was so light and cheap (70 euro), I saw there was an aux in for your mic or music (it is not possible to do both). I dont know if there was an internal accu.
I will check it out soon, it might be fantastic for hardcore busking.

                amps,amps,amps!

Personally I use Mouse amps, at least 2, sometimes 3, sometimes pushing an auxilary speaker with a 15" woofer.... a lot to carry, even with a cart...and they don't make them any more...you might find one on e-bay.

"At the high-end, the German-made, feature-laden AER amps are the professional choice"

above is from the web site of the Music Emporium in Lexington, MA. These amps are awesome, but they cost $1600.....

Eric Royer, a/k/a the "Guitar machine" guy has one, and I am envious....

                OK, get real...

Crate makes a couple of different street amps. When these first came out they put Lectrosonics (Maxi-Mouse) out of the street amp business, but there were a lot of maintainance/dependability issues; I hear that they are doing much better now...

Someone recently told me that Peavey makes a street amp that is not quite as loud, but has better tone (than a Limo). I don't know anything about that....

                have fun!...Kev.
