    Giant rola bola

I was looking at a copy of Kit Summer's Juggling with Finesse a while back and there is a picture of a clown on a high rola bola. It is about three feet high, and a large roller. Has anyone ever seen one of these? Do the look good? Seeing as I'm on a building spree here (prop stand, torches) I figured I may as well build one.

I have a 9" rolo bola and a 12" both made of PVC. The 12 is hard to mount and juggling on it is hard because you don't have a lot of room to move. Most of the tube is in contact with the board and moving just a little bit one way or the other could put you off balance. The 12 looks better to me but I can do more with the 9.

The clown in Kit's book is on a double decker board. I saw a guy a few years ago put one board down, put bottles of beer in the four corners of the board and put a second board on top. Then while he was riding, he pulled one of the bottles out, just leaving three behind to hold him up.

The pipe is that size? I'm gonna make a double decker, about three or four feet high. ;-)

Yes, the pipe is that size. It's hard to find, but it can be found. My local hardware store got some in and they cut me off a foot of it for my rola bola. I almost killed myself trying to get up it the first time.

Double deckers rule man. Go for it. Post pics when you get it.
