    Can you fly with this????

Moving to NYC in a month....How do people normally fly with 6 foot unicycles? Is it best to leave it how it is, put it in a bag? I have no idea and the airlines wasn't being to helpful. If anyone has done this and can give me some advice that would help. Normally when I gig I drive so this isnt an issue for me.

AND- what about a chainsaw? Can that go in my suitcase? Thanks for the help. Any info you can give me is more than the airlines did.... UGH

Airline not being helpful? Unheard of!

Get a bike box for the Uni. They usually have them for sale at the airport. I usually throw two uni's, a free standing ladder, and my rola bola table in one bike box.
    Bring packing tape.

Is your chainsaw gas powered? It is illegal to fly with an internal combustion engine. Heard the one about how Passing Zone was fined $10,000?

+ if you have any fuel containers, empty and wash, then fill with water to the brim before packing. fuel fumes are illegal.

Yo Marcus, it's Travis from the Pickled Brothers.

You might want to fedex your chainsaw to the location. A lot of hotels will accept mail for you even before you get there (well... if you're getting a room with them that is).

          this is why flying sucks

$10,000!! damn that really sucks. Yea my chainsaw is gas powered...so i think I am gonna have to fed-ex it and thats not too bad. Better than getting fined...

Is it a lot extra $ for a bike box?

I've only ever paid once-- in England. Virgin Airlines GAVE me a free box for the trip over, but sold me one for 20 pounds on the return trip.
