    balance

I've been trying a facial balance for a while now and I seem to be making little progress with it. I've tried long sticks, short sticks, heavy sticks, light sticks, forehead, chin, nose. I've tried moving side to side, back and forth, up and down. Most of my friends who a jugglers say they pick this up pretty quickly. I'm a very good juggler and I practice regularly. I don't know what the problem is. Any advice?

Yeah look at the end of what ever your balancing, and stay under it. Keep working at it. Practice is the determining factor.

Tom is correct right, also, the taller an object the easier it is to balance.

i once saw a kid balance a golfball on a tee, on his nose!!

        weight

It's also easier to balance something that's heavier on top.

A golf club is a good example - it's long and weighted on one end.

The heavy end should be the one farthest from your face.

(Just be ready to get out of the way if it comes down on you!)

The hardest things to balance are evenly weighted and small, like a pencil.

Also, if you haven't tried this already, I'd reccommend starting by balancing on your hand, then move to your finger tip, then finally your nose or chin (personal preference - I have a beard that makes things slip off my chin, and a big honkin' nose that has a lot of surface area!)

Finally, think "Seal" and clap your hands together while barking.

I learned how to do this when I was really young, but it seems the method I used was something like this.

Go to a home depot and buy like a colapsable broom or something (A long stick that breaks down into 3 or 4 foot long sections).

Also get a ball, a little bigger than a soft ball, and stick it on top so you have referance point.

Then just start the stick at a length you are comfortable with and work your way down.
