Celebration Barn is Maine's international center for creating and presenting original theater. Our internships provide opportunities for current students and early-career professionals to gain hands-experience in theater creation, production and variety performance. Compensation:
These positions are not paid. However, in addition to participating the two-week Celebration Devising Workshop, these positions offer the following perks:
• Housing
• Lunch and dinner on all class days. You will be responsible for providing your own breakfasts and meals on non-class days.
• Networking opportunities with approximately 100 students and theater artists from around the world.
• Opportunities to create and perform new work at the Barn at area events.
Eligibility:
To be eligible, applicants must:
• Be at least 18 years old
• Be able to commit for the summer season
• Be willing to live at the Barn or live within commuting distance
• Possess strong communications skills and have the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others
• Submit a thoughtfully completed application.
To Apply:
• We have an early acceptance application of March 7, and encourage interns to apply by this date or sooner. Following March 7, we'll accept applications for the waiting list.
• Send us your completed application (including all three parts), along with 2 references and a resume.
