CentreFest, Red Deer’s International Street Performers Festival, is searching for roving performers for the dates of July 27 – 29, 2012. I am in charge of finding roving entertainment, and would like to book 4 or 5 acts that will be in the Central Alberta region during that time.
This is the 10th Anniversary of CentreFest, and as such we are striving to have our largest festival yet. We have grown to become Central Alberta’s largest festival, and had our largest crowds to date last summer, with approximately 28 000 visitors to the festival. I am looking for any strange, funny, interesting or unique acts that would fit in with a family friendly, all ages street festival.
Roving performers at CentreFest are paid a flat rate, rates to be negotiated. I would prefer to book acts that will be in the area already, to cut down on my travel expenses. If you will be in Western Canada at the end of July and are looking for a booking as a roving performer, please email me at randy@downtownreddeer.com
