Hi All,
ACAPTA (the Australian Circus And Physical Theatre Association) is holding a benefit show to raise money for the devastating Queensland floods.
We are putting a call out to any Melbourne performers who would be interested in donating an act to the show.
Saturday 5th Feb, 1pm. Please contact luth@luth.com.au for more info.
I know most of the people reading this forum seem to be from the USA, so I might drop a line to you all: If anyone's feeling humanitarian today, consider holding your own benefit for the flood victims.
The floods have caused almost the entire state declared a disaster zone, and it is being described as an 'inland-tsunami'. It has destroyed housing and businesses both in regional towns and in the capital of Brisbane. The death toll is rising fast, and the worst of the floods are still to come.
All the best,
Luth
