Festival of the Arts Looking for Buskers
A busker \BUS-kur\ is a person or persons who perform art on sidewalks and in streets for donations. The Warren County Arts Council is actively recruiting street performers (buskers) for the June 26 Warren County Festival of the Arts to be held in Lebanon, Ohio. Singers, musicians, jugglers, puppeteers, story tellers, magicians, balloonists, and mimes are all examples of buskers. The term is well known in Canada and Europe and the Arts Council wants to make the term known in Warren County. Anyone interested in performing must submit an application, be approved and scheduled by the Council’s entertainment committee. Application may be found at www.warrencountyarts.org.
