Director of the Casting Department
Responsibilities
• Develop and create a worldwide casting strategy
• Establish and maintain a network of contacts and international relations in order to attain recruitment objectives
• Along with the Communications department, ensure recognition and visibility of all casting activities in the artistic, cultural and professional communities
• Manage the casting team and all research and talent scouting, design research strategies and orientations
• Develop casting schedules for talent search of new creations, replacements of artists etc.
• Establish and manage the casting department budget
• Define salary criteria and other advantages related to artist’s contracts. Lead recruitment negotiations along with the Production Management.
Background
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience within the live entertainment industry (stage management, talent scout, casting agency)
• English, fluency in French is a major plus
• Willing to travel abroad frequently
• Independent thinker, team player, decisive and passionate
• Good knowledge Microsoft Office environment
