    General Manager - Dragone City of Dreams


    Job Summary


    • The General Manager will be responsible for assembling and operating the Dragone show, at MPEL’s City of Dreams, Macau China;
    • Reporting to the Director of Operations Dragone, and liaising with Dragone Head Office Belgium, the General Manager will lead the team of technicians, staff and artists to ensure the safe and healthy operations of the Dragone Show;
    • The General Manager will also be responsible for Partner relations on a daily basis with MPEL, monitoring sales and advising both partners of trends, managing all facets of the operation including Front of House and Ticket office operations;
    • Interested parties should have a high degree of comfort working in a culturally diverse group, and be willing to relocate to Macau China.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Financial Management
    o Manage the budgets, expenditures and income for the project. Acquire budget approval from both Dragone and MPEL.
    o Delegate budget control to Technical Manager and Artistic Direction, manage the process.
    o Create and manage payroll and payables systems with Accounting
    o Report trends to Operations Belgium
    • Leadership
    o Strategic planning of all show operations with Artistic, Technical, Stage Management, Health Services.
    o Advise and mentor leadership of all departments
    o Lead the recruitment process for all administrative staff, Technical staff and Artist replacements in collaboration with Dragone Head Office.
    o Advise and collaborate with the Artistic team for the wellbeing of the Artists and the show. Ensure the health and wellbeing of the performers
    o Support the decision making process of the artistic team for show changes and artists replacement
    o Lead all department Managers.


    • Operation
    o In collaboration with Dragone Head Office, manage the artists’ contracts, and renewal process.
    o Convey information to the partner in an open and collaborative manner to ensure the smooth operation of the show.
    o Maximize profitability, and minimize costs
    o Ensure the implementation of all security, maintenance, and safety procedures and training. Ensure the job training and establishment of show standards.
    o Support the artists at all times by creating a wellbeing programme.
    o Ensure the creation of a continuous quality improvement process for personnel, systems and equipment.
    o Ensure the creation of a safety program and process for personnel, systems and equipment.

     Miscellaneous

    o Work an extended schedule throughout the load-in and rehearsal periods.


    Requirements

    • Education
    o University Degree or College and related experience
    • Experience
    o 10 Plus years experience with large shows, creation of new shows and demonstrated leadership of large teams. Experience in managing large projects and multiple partner relationships. Experience in planning and managing budgets.
    • Other Skills
    • Experience with a wide variety of modern theatrical productions
    • The ability to supervise personnel and to perform under pressure.
    • The ability to be a team builder and to lead strong teams
    • Computer literacy as it pertains to PC based systems and common office software.
    • Willingness to learn and interact with different cultures.
    • Willingness to define, practice and conform to safe working procedures.
    • Ability to speak and understand English language. French an asset.
