Hi,
My name is Martin, street-performer, member of [sirqus] Alfon, and right now working with the first street-performance festival ever in the capital of Sweden.
Together with street-performer Johan Wellton, Circus Cirkör's contemporary circus festival Subörb, I'm arranging a street-performance festival. Right now we’re trying to find out what performers are touring in Europe in August, and are interested in coming to both Subörb and the Street performance festival.
The street-performance festival takes place at Stockholms new and growing market place for art and handicraft, called STREET (like Spitalfields or Camden Lock). Between 20 to 50 thousand people visits the market every weekend, so we expect the festival to attract around 60 thousand. Which means a couple of great pitches and people with money to put in your hat since the market is open and there’s no cover for the festival.
We want to make this festival to become a frequent event, and establish a good open pitch in Stockholm at STREET availible for performers at any time. We’re going to put effort in making the audiences put money in your hat, with hosts and a busking support crew that will help you collect money when there’s a bigger crowd.
We offer:
one or two schedualed shows at the Subörb festival 11-14/8
two or more schedualed shows at the STREET performance festival 19-21/8
good pitches for busking at the festival area
good pitches in the centre of Stockholm
travel expenses and accomodation will be payed
