    A new arrival...

    Hey everybody...

Just thought I'd do a quick post to introduce myself, and tell you a little bit about me. My name is John Huber, which I'm sure you've already gathered. I am a competitive yo-yo player from Seattle, and I've been playing for about 6 and a half years now. In that time, I've gone from being a beginner to one of the best Single A players in the country. I'll never master everything though, which is one of the things that draws me towards this particular skilltoy. Even if I spent until I was 80 messing around with them, it would be impossible for me to ever know everything.

This is my 12th Place 1A freestyle from the 2006 U.S. National Yo-Yo Contest.

This is my first video for EckoTV, which is played in retail stores all across the country. In exchange for footage, they hook me up with gear. Fair trade.

Anyhow, a friend of mine, Steve Brown, suggested I check out this site after a conversation we had yesterday that touched base on street performing. After spending a fair amount of time learning the art of yo, I feel that I am finally at a skill level that is entertaining enough to draw a crowd, as well as put some extra spending money in my pocket.

So here I am. That's all I have for now. Maybe I'll say something more profound at a later date.
