May I introduce myself.....
Hello!! I am Carla McEwen..aka the Joybuzzard. I reside in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. I am a street performer. Play guitar and sing original music outside. I am a busker by choice, and this is my 8th Canadian winter. -10 Celsius or warmer and I can be found at my spot. Right now my spot is in front of a liquor store, where I have been for 19 months. Before that I was in Victoria BC area for 2 years. I have released 3 cd's and numerous cassettes-sell from my case only or people request a copy-it's all good!!! I have been writing songs for many years, performing for the public and marketing my songs since 1996. In my other life before that I was a writer, and worked in recording studios and did lights for bands, also sometimes sound as well. When my life exploded, as it does from time to time, I said f+++k it and started busking. And now-as the song says, I wouldn't have it any other way!!!
Pet complaints-people who think it is easy or who assume that street performing is a form of panhandling. If I were panhandling I would be breaking the law in this city. People who think that I am just a drunk(I do not drink alcohol).
