Gig alert webapp
If I create a web app to solve this would you guys pay for it, and how much per year?
Problem...
People always come up to me and say "Hey, let me know next time you're doing a show." This is hard to do.
I have a google calendar, and a web calendar, but people won't remember to check.
I have a mailing list, but I send out general international news to those people and I don't want to constantly tell them every time I have a public show.
Here's what it would do...
You put the form on your site or myspace page. people sign up. My program will watch your calendar and send them an alert for the next show that you're doing.
When fans sign up, they'll be able to select how far they want to travel to a show, so if you do one show in Rhode Island per year, they'll only be alerted to that one show.
-- if they choose, they'll only get one email (because people usually don't want to see you a million times, they just want to see you once.)
After the show, they'll get a followup email that will give them a chance to give you feedback or sign up for more alerts.
