In Mar del Plata, yo can do shows without any permits along the beach, the place is realy good and there is a loooooot of peaploe, you can use amplification, you can do almost everything you whant, very very good for big circle shows from morning to late night but you will have to figth realy hard with local performers!!!! there are fucking soons of bitches ho will never give you the welcome, they have 30.000 wats amplifications, it´s more a sound systems competition than a place where you can do nice shows in a nice atmospher, they have no respect at all for other peaploe and between themselves. Of course, as a street performer myself, I had to try, and I stand right in the midle of two big shows alowing enouth distance to no disturb them, mostly since my amplification is realy small compair to them. Bad Idea!!!! they came into my show to put big in load speakers just so I could not keep going on, I never seen that before!!
There is another place in town, it´s a paralel of the main pedestrian street <you are not alowed to perform there>, but the paralel is a normal street, they close is to make it pedestrian from 7pm to late night. you need permit to perform there, and you can´t use amplification. Forget about the permit, they´ll give them only to local performers, but the police will never say anything to you, this place is good for satues, and small shows. I was using ampl. but not too load and I had no problem at all; I could make quite good money for living there, and the local performers are not so bad, they will try to help you as much as they can, and they will tell you that you can use them spot where they are not here <fantastic for argentina!>, well by the last days I even made some friends, betwen street performers, amasing!
I´ve met "RAMI SALAMI" There, a baloon maker from Boston, he was realy happy with this place and he was doing well, lots of childrens, good for him<actualy is as a flat there if you whant to go now>. If you decide to go, it can be an option for winter, you´ll survive, maybe you´ll make good money, it depends....everybody is diferent, I did not like it, Rami did....
