HI FOLKS,
The event is cancelled for 2012, however, I want to spread the word that all buskers, musicians, balloon artists, jugglers, etc. are welcome to show up in downtown Newburyport, Ma to entertain for tips. We expect hundreds of tourists to still be around.
This summer has been fantastic, unfortunately we have missed buskers. Please come back!
Newburyport directions: rt. 95/1 north out of Boston, exit 57 leads you to downtown. Market Square, Inn St courtyard and the boardwalk is where you'll want to pitch. You do not need to purchase a permit, just obey laws, do not block public way or business entrance, keep sound (amps) to a reasonable decible level and cops won't hassle you. I'd recommend keeping shows g rated. It is Puritan New England, after all!
