    An Educational Reel-to-Reel

A satiracal short within a film about variety performance.

"A Guide to Being Professional Audience Members”

With a classic, old, “educational film” style, narration, instructional bullets, and scratched black-and-white video footage –with freeze-frame moments and multiple choice questions– we help the viewers to understand that there are a few important things they need to know before entering the world of busker-watching. There are things to do and not to do. There are ways to get the best view, without injuring children; appropriate times, as well as creative ways to applaud; how to be a good volunteer; tips on good things to put in a performer’s hat and not-so-good things to put in a performer’s hat.

Does anybody have comedic mental images that come as examples to mind for any of these lessons?

So far I've had one friend suggest an angry raccoon with a wooden leg as a "not so good thing to put in a hat".
Poop's the obvious first image most people get. Too obvious. ...unless the audience member is actually TAKING a dump in the hat. ...that bumps it up a notch.

    Fire away, if you wish.
Well, maybe I WILL just keep telling myself that.
